It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Early Childhood Education programs. The Los Angeles Unified School District is proud to have a long history of serving young children dating back over sixty years. We currently operate more than 300 full-day Infant Center, California State Preschool (CSPP) and General Child Care and Development (CCTR) Programs throughout the District.

This Parent Handbook contains valuable information regarding the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Early Childhood Education programs and the roles and responsibilities of both parents and staff members. We encourage you to read it carefully. Should you have questions, the administrator of your child’s program will be happy to assist you.
Toilet or potty training is a big step for you and your child. Learning how to go to the bathroom in a toilet is a huge developmental milestone that requires your help – and patience. Typically, children are ready to be toilet trained between eighteen months and three years old. However, every child is different and may need their own time to get the hang of things.
